I’m not sure if this is the best place to post, but I’m trying to come up with words that have a cool or aesthetic vibe to them.
I understand that sounds ridiculous, but I’m starting a business and want the name to be something short and sweet. To me, the business category is irrelevant as I don’t wait it to sway the word you come up with.
Example words that I think give the same energy that I’m after:
Whiplash
Muse
Sway
Acre
Gather
Volume
Habit
Cove
Outdo
Solo
Stone
Tempo
Echo
Elsewhere
Sunday
It’s more of a feeling rather than logic, so I’m not sure if this post even makes sense..
Simply looking for a bunch of words haha!
I begin with the humble admission of the possibility that my palate is simply undevelopped for coffee flavour.
Now, I cant be alone in this, am I? I am doing everything right. My pouring is top notch, I mix my water for ideal TDS and mineral ratios, I use a ZP6 & JE for grinding, I do up to date puck prep for espresso (tumble, press), I measure everything, I am as precise and geeky as can be.
HOWEVER, in the odd 3 years that I have been into specialty coffee, I find that aroma is the strongest predictor of flavour quality. If the coffee smeels intense and tasty, It always tastes great once I find the recipe. If it smells like, well, not much of anything at all, it also tastes like that.
I have to try REAAAAALLY hard to catch the notes on some of these expensive competition coffees, and the flavour intensity, clarity and separation is clear to be low from the second I grind it up and the smell is barely distinctive. Other coffees, even before I open the coffee, I can smell already that this one is going to be amazing.
And this is not tied to cultivar, region or even processing. I have had washed coffees from nicaragua blow me away with an intense strawberry aroma and flavour, while triple fermented colombian pink bourbons have tasted like hay to me.
The issue here is, when I taste it with some of my coffee snob friends, they really like the flat tasting, hay-ish competition coffees, and immidiately start ranting about the nuanced flavours. I mean sure, if I try hard enough, I can pick up some dark chocolate or cranberry, but hell, some coffees literally taste like chocolate, like you would actually be mistaken thinking you are drinking chocolate if blindfolded.
And this most often happens with really expensive coffees, like $300/kg stuff. And like, I dont get it, once some people taste the really aromatic, clearly defined stuff, how is it that they still come back for the "nuanced" coffees, and act as if they were this intense experience, even though they really do taste the same to me and all of my laic friends.
Its like eating walnuts, like sure, one tastes more like strawberry than another, Im sure, but you can also literally eat strawberries which do taste like strawberry every time.
Somone mind chiming in?
Heya everyone. Just wanted to share something with y'all. If someone's thinking to changing a friend's wake up alarm to "Heat of the moment" please don't do it without a warning. I nearly freaked out waking up to that 🤣😅😅
My landlord sent me all utility bills for my tenancy at once. This is a large amount and I'm wondering if I'm required to pay it all asap?
The tenancy has been ongoing for ~2 years. I've read on the RTA site that the owners are required to notify the tenant within 4 weeks of receiving a bill or payment isn't required. Does this apply for tenancies that started before the changes too?
Thank you for your help!
P.S. There are many other issues too. For example, I've learnt that a landlord is required to lodge the bond with the RTA but mine kept it in his account. That's an issue I'll have to deal with soon as I have been asked to move out
Seen the game since 2012, watched lotta Youtubes pretty much understand what the game is about. Now I wanna start playing the game myself.
I can't find whats the best decision to start for a casual player. I understand the game might be unplayable due to incomplete design and glitches but Im ready to for it.
Without a centralized official guideline before buying, I can't see where to start. Most of the tutorials on internet are scatterred around teaching people with lotta free time which doesn't apply to my situation.
My situations:
1. Have a full time jobs. Limited free time. Expected to play <3 hours per day
2. Expect something <60 USD to start.
3. I just want to relax doing some safe grinding game with an opportunity for growth to avoid repetitive loop. Most MMORPGs just let me grind higher tier loots just to defeat higher level bosses which I find boring for its repetitiveness.
Questions:
1. Is it enjoyable to play casually now ?
2. Best starter pack to buy for the given situation ?
3. The gameplay decision I should be taking ?
Thank all bros.
I'm currently yr 12 and I got started with my IPQ yr 11. I do CIPQ (Cambridge) and it's genuinely a shitty exam board to choose for extended project. I wanna apply to PPL but my project was very political and history oriented as I wanted to apply for PPE before (when I first got started). Our school is also crappy no one has ever got a grade higher than B in IPQ after 2021. My supervisor has been very hostile against me after I got this grade ltrly idk y. I doubt if anyone cares about IPQ but plz someone tell me they acc don't 😭😭
I just got laid off. I have maybe three months emergency savings. I just bought a house. Should I sell the house and move in with family? Should I try to see if I can get another job quickly? Should I try to rent out rooms to cover expenses?
The world around me seems to be going mad, and it often seems many of my fellow Christians are the ones making the madness worse with their support of extreme ideologies and those who promote them like Trump, Putin and Musk:

Hi guys! As the title suggests, I'm looking for some opinions on booking a tour with G Adventures. My parents would like to go on a trip with me to the Nordic and the Baltic countries and I wanted to try booking with this company.
Some factors to consider are that my parents are almost in their 60s and they kind of like your stereotypical Asian parents (dad is from Hong Kong, mum is Singaporean). They wouldn't want a tour that is too adventurous, and they could complain/get cranky about a slight change in the itinerary.
My dad's health isn't the greatest, he recently recovered from lung cancer, so I'd like to book a tour that doesn't have too much walking, but also a lot of sightseeing and such.
So, I'd like to ask those who have been on more "chill" tours with G Adventures,
1. How did you feel about the tours? Was everything generally smooth? Or were there many hiccups?
2. If you were in my shoes, would your parents enjoy a trip like this?
Hope that someone can advise me on this matter because I'd like to do something for them as well. Thank you!
Hello, I’m visiting your country in a month and would really like to see a game of sepak takraw live. I’ve not been able to find any schedule on google. Can you help me?
If there’s no “official” game during this time, do you know of any place or park in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampot or Kep where people usually play?
If you have any recommendations for some other live events like sports, orchestra or theater please let me know about them as well
Hi everyone and TIA,
I started the nursing course in 2019, left partway through 2020 to have a baby, came back in 22 to the duel degree in nursing/midwifery. had another baby at the end of 22, finished up second year in 23, took a year off classes and now i'm finally on placement. I have just come off 6 weeks midwifery placement and am kind of in the deep end in my first week on acute. i'm 2 days in kind of just doing obs, some medication administration, documentation and handover.
Because I've had so much time between classes and clinical placement, I'm a bit foggy on what is nursing scope and what is midwifery scope... i know on midwifery placements, i can place female IDC's, give IM and SubCut injections, is that the same for nursing? i remember somwhere about placing NGT's but was that nursing or mid?
My university (VU) doesn't really give you an exact layout of what you can and can't do for each year. is there somewhere i can go looking for that? is it on APRAH or the Nursing and Midwifery Board website?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
